About this service
Audiovisual translation has its own set of constraints that make it different from any other type. Subtitles have a maximum character count per line and a reading speed to observe. Dubbing scripts need to match lip movement, breath points, and emotional timing. Closed captions for accessibility need to identify speakers and non-speech sounds. Voice-over needs to fit the duration of the original audio.
We work on short films, feature films, documentaries, episodic TV content, streaming platform content, corporate training videos, product demonstration videos, promotional reels, conference recordings, and online course material. For film festival entries, we handle subtitle files in standard formats (SRT, VTT, EBU-STL) ready for upload.
Our audiovisual translators are not simply linguists who also understand time codes. They are professionals with experience in the specific demands of screen translation - understanding when to adapt rather than translate literally, when to condense dialogue for readability, and how to preserve the tone and intent of the original performance.
For Italian-language content going to international distribution, we offer English, French, German, Spanish, and Portuguese subtitle packages. For foreign content coming into Italy, our Italian subtitles and dubbing scripts have been used on festival circuits and broadcast platforms.
